2008/05/08 - USPS Postal Rate Change
The USPS is increasing postage rates beginning May 12. The most visible change is a 1 cent increase to $0.42 for First Class letters, however many rates have been changed. Please refer to the PDF rate card for detailed information, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

MailMax Direct Easter 2008 2008/03/22 - MailMax Company Easter 2008
We had a great turnout this year at our Annual MailMax Easter Picnic. All the families enjoyed plenty of food, drinks, and easter sweets. The children had a blast with activities, games, races and the big Easter egg hunt. Another fun spring day in Texas.




2008/03/01 - MailMax Direct Second Annual Company Softball Team
MailMax Direct employees have once again come together to form a co-ed softball team to compete against other local teams. This season will start Monday, March 17th and will last through April 14th.

MailMax Direct Christmas Party 2007 MailMax Direct Christmas Party 2007 2007/12/12 - Anderton Group Inc Annual Open House & Christmas Party 2007!
Annual event number seven! Customers of MailMax Direct(Austin-Waco), MailMax Printing(Temple-Waco), and Gatesville Printing were treated to another Merry Christmas event. Party goers were invited to meet the staff, tour the facility, and partake in a delicious holiday feast. David Anderton, his wife Debbie and a staff of helpful elves served up door-prize drawings for many, many, many prizes. Hope to see you all at next year's party!




MailMax Printing Breaks Ground 2007/11/15 - MailMax Printing Breaks Ground
MailMax Printing Temple breaks ground on a new printing facility in the Temple Enterprise Park Business District. MailMax Printing (Temple) specializes in commercial offset printing, 4 color digital printing, high volume copies, and booklet making. Expected completion date is May of 2008.



MailMax Direct Company Picnic 2007 2007/10/06 - MailMax Company Picnic 2007
This years MailMax Direct company Picnic was another great success. The hot dogs and hamburgers were hot and tasty, with all the fixings to round our a scrumptious meal. A few people showed off their singing chops with the karaoke machine while the kiddos bounced and splashed away in the inflatable playground equipment. Bingo and horse shoes rounded out the event, which proved to fun for all.

MailMax Direct employees have formed a co-ed softball team to compete against other local companies. The season will start Thursday, March 22nd and will last about midway through April.

For the sixth year in a row, customers of MailMax Direct (Austin-Tyler-Waco), MailMax Printing (Temple-Waco), and Gatesville Printing met the staff, toured the plant, and partook of a large traditional holiday feast. David and Debbie Anderton served up door-prize drawings for many, many, many prizes. Witness pictures of the jolly extravaganza to the left. Maybe we'll see you at next years party!





MailMax Direct employees and family Terry Huckleberry gets soulful The kids get down with the karaoke machine 2006/10/28 - MailMax Direct Company Picnic The MailMax Direct Company picnic was a big success. Everyone enjoyed charcoal grilled hamburgers and other foods while also partaking in various games such as bingo. The karaoke singing was very eventful with some singers using body language to really get into the song. Although everyone had a great time it was really the kids that had the most fun. They were kept busy with singing, throwing horse shoes and even bouncing around in the inflatable playground equipment.



2006/09/01 - MailMax Direct is awarded the Baylor University Mail Services Contract.
Baylor University announced it would award a mail services contract to MailMax Direct for providing facilities management services to the entire University. MailMax Direct will provide mail processing in the incoming and outgoing mail operations. David Jacinto will be the site manager for this contract and will bring in eight(on campus) employees for day to day operational duties.



2006/07/19 - MailMax Direct adds flat inserter.
MailMax Direct once again makes strides in offering a multitude of options to meet current and future customer needs. The newest addition is a flat inserter that allows MailMax Direct to insert and prepare 9x12 envelopes. The sorter also allows for larger quantities to be done quicker and more efficiently.


2006/06/26 - MailMax Printing acquires new color printer. MailMax Printing upgraded from a Xerox DocuColor 2045 to a Xerox DocuColor 7000. The DocuColor 7000 has the ability to run full color orders at speeds up to 70 pages a minute and the quality is upgraded 4x to 2400 dpi. This not only doubles the speed it also allows MailMax to produce a higher quality end product. This new printer will handle all your color printing needs. BBH MLOCR BBH MLOCR2 2006/07/01 - MailMax Direct introduces new sorter.
The newly purchased Bowe Bell&Howell J-3000 Multiline Optical Character Reader Sorter has been installed and is ready to improve production. This sorter is equipped with 80 sorting bins and three PC 70 printers. Having three printers enables the spraying of an eleven digit barcode, change of address and an endorsement(drop shipment authorization).The new sorter is also networked to the existing Bowe Bell&Howell J-1500 sorter which enables processing of one job on two machines for maximum efficiency. Both machines are equipped with a Sabre Reader which will read many different font styles and size while also maintaining a very high readability rate. Both machines are also equipped with FastForward service and updated weekly. FastForward is a USPS Move Update service that enables the immediate lookup of address information within the USPS National change of address system. This allows the mail to meet Move Update requirements and reduces undeliverable-as-addressed mail in the same process.

 2006/05/01 - Demolition begins as MailMax Direct prepares to bring in a new sorter.
A dividing wall and an office will be removed to make room for the new equipment which will allow for larger quantities of mail to be sorted daily.


2006/04/20-22 - MailMax Direct attends MFSA Southwest in South Padre Island, Texas
Incoming President for MFSA Southwest and MailMax Direct President, David Anderton, recently attended the annual conference in South Padre Island, Tx. During the events, MailMax Direct delivered a presentation on Transactional Prining and the technology advances that improve data acceptance from clients.



2006/03/01 - MailMax Direct offers Disaster Recovery Services for Printing and Mailing.
In response to client requests, MailMax Direct now provides custom disaster recovery services as part of its overall printing and mailing service offerings. MailMax works together with clients to identify specific processes to be emulated and performed off-site at a MailMax facility in the event of a disaster. The processes are tested, documented and a recurring test schedule is defined. All of this information is documented and combined into a disaster recovery plan specific to the client. The document is reviewed and approved by the client, and can then be integrated into or referenced by the client's existing disaster recovery plan. Disaster recovery process emulation can include automated data transfers, data processing, digital laser b/w or color printing, variable data and variable image printing including transactional documents, collating, ink jetting, fulfillment, transporting and materials handling, warehousing, inserting, sealing, metering, presorting, and first class presorting.

MailMax Direct continues to make strides in providing the best service available to its customers by using Direct Logistics to improve shipping. Using Direct Logistics allows Mailmax to ship large mailings quicker and more efficiently.

Xerox Docuprint 115 MX2005/11/01 - MailMax Direct acquires large volume MICR production printer. MailMax has expanded it's Xerox equipment to include a new Docuprint 115 MX printer. This high-speed printer produces statements, checks, and other transactional documents through a variety of variable data applications. Data and document formats include Postscript, PDF, PCL, and IPDS input. The Sun Solaris RIP (DocuSP with IPS), coupled with our custom transactional printing preprocessors allow us to handle virtually any format or application. MFSA-SW-2005: Year Monoliths MFSA-SW-2005: Lance Armstrong's gift to the President MFSA-SW-2005: Main Hall2005/04/10 - MailMax Direct attends the 2005 MFSA-SW Annual Conference in Little Rock, AR. The Mailing and Fulfillment Service Association - Southwest held it's annual conference from 4/7 through 4/10 at the Peabody Hotel in Little Rock, AR. The conference provides an opportunity for the companies and vendors of our industry to work together in sharing ideas and standards, learning about new technology, and promoting the mail services industry. Events included plant tours, presentations from various members, discussion panels, new vendor technology overviews, roundtable discussions, and distinguished speakers including James L. "Skip" Rutherford at the William J. Clinton Presidential Library. David Anderton and Micah Roark of MailMax Direct attended the conference and hosted a roundtable on transactional printing. MailMax Direct is a proud member of the MFSA-SW.



2005/03/23 - MailMax Direct Completes IS Upgrade.
MailMax Direct has increased its Internet bandwidth with a new T1 from SBC Internet Services (formerly Southwestern Bell), our largest area provisioner. Benefits include increased speed for customer data uploads and downloads, more available DS channels for wider throughput, and less hops from our local regional frame to one of the three surrounding major city backbones. In addition, MailMax Direct's network has been upgraded with new equipment, as well as a new network architecture, allowing increased segmentation for security and stability. Finally, NT-based network servers for web, ftp and email services have been replaced with new FreeBSD-based servers. This upgrade increases each network service's security, capability and stability, using a proven OS and server software. These upgrades as a whole will benefit all AGI companies and customers.

The MailStar in action, part 2! The MailStar in action! MailStar Assembly.2004/11/22 - MailMax Direct acquires another intelligent inserter.
MailMax has expanded it's Bell & Howell equipment to include a MailStar 500 OMR inserter. This high-speed inserter prepares statement and transactional mail in a variety of sizes and number of inserts, including the ability to read OMR marks for variable insert control. The feeder workstation also allows for logic control by the operator. The machine provides in-line folding, inserting, sealing and metering. The inserter is shown here being assembled and tested on it's first run.
